Castle Rock Senior Center serves as a hub of community activity for seniors in and around Castle Rock, Colorado. Our mission is to offer a diverse range of activities, events, and programs that foster camaraderie and fulfill the needs of older adults. We provide direct services such as transportation, wellness programs, and nutrition services to our members. In 2021, we celebrated 50 years of serving the senior population in Douglas County and beyond.

Program areas at Castle Rock Senior Center

As a 51-years-young non-profit organization, the CRSAC provides organized activities and services to older adults in Douglas County and surrounding areas. We currently have 1,172 members. We are one of the largest transportation providers for older adults and adults with disabilities in Douglas County. We had over 550 registered riders and over 300 actively used the transportation program during 2022. We provided 13,689 rides between our shuttle services and activities in 2022. As we continued to emerge from the pandemic, older adults re-engaged in our activities offerings which grew to an average of 125 programs offered each month. We made 3,396 reassurance calls to isolated older adults in 2022. We published a monthly newsletter, a weekly 411 email, a website and 4 social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube). We provided older adults friendships, peer support, wellness and nutrition programs, activities, sports and entertainment. The Center is also a Volunteer of America (VOA) congregate meal site and provided VOA Meals on Wheels delivery services for Douglas County. In 2022 we provided 3,614 hot lunches to older adults at the center and 3088 frozen 5- meal boxes for meals on wheels clients in Douglas County. Volunteers play a critical role in helping us provide all the programs and services, in 2022 21,844 hours of services were donated.
