Program areas at Catholic Charities Eastern Washington
Catalyst: provides safe and secure emergency supportive housing layered with wrap-around services and support designed to help community members exit homelessness. The program balances safety and personal accountability, to create an environment that encourages service engagement and prioritizes health. Catalyst has 78 rooms and houses between 78 and 110 adults at a time, including housing couples together. In 2023, catalyst served 246 individual participants, 32,000 individual participant meals served, and 26,592 individual participant bed nights.
House of charity: provides emergency shelter and services to individuals experiencing homelessness while preserving their individual dignity. House of charity provides medical respite upon referral, meals, case management and shelter to an underserved population of individuals identifying as male in any condition. Services are available to those identifying as male in any condition who are experiencing homelessness.in 2023 we served 908 unduplicated individuals in both our respite and emergency shelter programs. Meals are offered to all of these clients for a total of 134,750 meals served.
Integrated case management: assists people in stabilizing their housing, income, behavioral health, and/or substance use. Integrated case management provides supportive housing, supported employment, healthcare coordination, and peer support services. In 2023 integrated case management provided 448 households with supportive housing services, connected 43 individuals with sud treatment services, and provided rental assistance for 48 households.
Other program services include: providing residential services that allow families to stay together while they begin to rebuild their lives. Providing affordable housing units to vulnerable individuals. Providing healthy, locally grown food to low-income families and seniors. Providing services to help low-income seniors or those living with disabilities live in their own homes longer. Providing counseling services to individuals regardless of their ability to pay. Coordinating with the christmas bureau to provide toys, books, and grocery vouchers to low-income individuals and families. Providing immigration legal services to help families reunify and integrate into the community.
