The Organization provides direct financial support for the purchase of (1) basic goods (clothing, food, household items, etc.), (2) rent and utility costs, (3) prescriptions and medical supplies, (4) predatory debt relief, and (5) disaster relief.
The Organizations immigration legal services provide a quality service to people of all faiths and nationalities. Started by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1995 the Organization has assisted thousands of people to gain Lawful Permanent Residence status and obtain United States Citizenship. The statistics of the Organizations services reflect positive outcomes in helping numerous people achieve a better lifestyle in the United States of America. The Organization specializes in providing benefit eligibility determination for citizenship work authorizations and other related services including Family immigration applications and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. If the Organizations immigration attorney is unable to assist with a particular immigration need an appropriate referral is made.
Adoption programs work with birth parents and adoptive couples to facilitate infant adoption services, conduct home studies, and assist with search and reunion services. In working with birth parents, the Organization helps explore thoughts and feelings about parenting as well as create an adoption plan. A final decision about any adoption belongs to the birth parents. Adoptions are open as the Organization believes children are best served by preserving their connection to their family of origin. In addition, the Organization provides a pregnancy support program focused on helping deliver health, full-term babies using as individualized plan designed for each mother that may include counseling and support, pregnancy and infant items, limited financial assistance and help locating resources.
Mental health counseling and therapy services are provided for children and adolescents, adults, family, marriage and couples and divorce adjustment. These services are provided regardless of religion, race, nationality, age or financial status.
