Program areas at Catskill Forest Association
The teaching of proper management of forests to landowners, foresters,timber harvesters, industry, and the general public, including the improvement of forests for wildlife, recreation, aesthetics and better growth of standing timber by selecting, trimming and harvesting trees. This purpose is achieved through woodswalks, on-site educational visits with landowners, collaboration with other natural resource organizations and agencies, and distribution of Forest management literature.
