Artslink international fellowshipsartslink international fellowships advances the core mission through a three year program comprised of year one - online residencies which support up to 6 week residencies online hosted by us arts organizations for up to 10 artists and arts managers from eligible countries; year two - fellows' in person residencies and follow up projects with their host organizations in the us; year three - fellows' subsequent co-commissioned projects back in their home country with us collaborators.
Websitecec Artslink's website serves an important function in our transnational cultural outreach and advocacy. In addition to program descriptions, organizational history, and participant data, the video portal permits us to livestream events, and archive artists videos and projects. The Artslink index is a searchable database of artists and organizations in our network. The website is also a vital source of information for our online application processes for all our international open calls for artists and cultural leaders.
Art prospect & back apartment residenciesthis program advances our mission to develop cultural exchange in the post-soviet region and the united states, and is comprised of several discrete programs. Art prospect fellows are cultural practitioners and leaders from central asia, central europe and the caucasus who visit the us to learn first-hand about current artistic and arts management practices. The art prospect festival of public art is held annually in one of the art prospect network countries and virtually online. The art prospect network was launched in 2017 in tbilisi, Georgia and consists of 13 organizations and independent curators from 10 participating countries arts organizations. The network meets annually, hosted each year by one of the partner organizations, to plan public art events, artist exchange initiatives, and training initiatives in socially engaged art practices for artists and arts leaders from the partner countries. The back apartment residencies program was suspended in 2022 following russia's invasion of ukraine.
The Artslink assemblythis annual gathering of transnational artists, arts organizations and colleagues, initiated in 2018, explores the role art and artists play in building and maintaining civil society. It offers Cec Artslink the opportunity to advocate our core mission - the social value of transnational cultural exchange - to a broad constituency of professionals and the public.
