Program areas at Center for Christianity and Public Life
Community of young christians in politics: the community of young christians in politics served 40 young professionals in 2022, who represent different political affiliations, geographic backgrounds, and racial identities. In its pilot stage over the last year, this group has already led to promising results, including several members securing new jobs through the network and members sharing testimonies regarding how the group has strengthened their faith and helped them navigate their careers. In 2022, cycp had monthly virtual meetings 12 meetings total throughout the year. Expenses went to two in-person gatherings: a summer cookout in july and a holiday dinner in december.
Annual conference: our first annual conference will take place in the fall of 2023, bringing together american Public and civil leaders to consider together, and share with the Public, a positive and hopeful vision for christian contribution to our politics and Public Life. The conference will serve approximately 250 leaders.
Public Life fellowship: the Public Life fellowship program is a nine-month program serving an intergenerational class of christians interested in intensive, community-based learning about the intersection of faith and Public Life. Fellows will be better-equipped to navigate the Public aspects of their vocations, and serve as resources on these topics in their own local contexts. Participants will range from post-grads to ceos and include individuals from various generational, racial, and ethnic backgrounds.
