Advocacy/ policy: ccs leads targeted advocacy efforts to shape large-scale national health policies and improve statewide legislative agendas. Through engagement with key stakeholders across industry, academia, medical agencies, and the different branches of the u.s. government, we seek to transform medical research practices, advance sustainability initiatives, and promote pandemic prevention measures. We rely on evidence-based science to modernize public policy and execute advocacy campaigns that benefit us, save our planet, and promote animal protection.sciences/technology: ccs works on multiple fronts to shift the existing paradigm in medical research and other areas that impact health. The ccs investor summit is a one-of-a-kind business development event that brings together innovators, investors, researchers, and venture philanthropists to support modern technologies in the emerging field of human-relevant alternatives to animal experimentation. The ccs innovation circle brings together partners across different sectors to provide a unified voice to the scientific community and policy makers to support the discovery, development, refinement, and use of the best scientific innovations that can replace ineffective animal testing. Ccs provides scientific perspectives on the human health threats of the wildlife trade and factory farming to engage with health agencies and others in support of progressive initiatives that can reduce these threats.education/training: ccs offers a trusted narrative and leads efforts to educate stakeholders, academics, policymakers, and students about pandemics and other human health threats and the latest breakthroughs in science and technology such as human-relevant testing methods. for instance, our in-house fellowship and internship program attracts students and emerging professionals seeking to hone their skills within a rigorous, cross-disciplinary environment. Moreover, resources such as free public events, informative databases, and educational materials are regularly produced by ccs. Through programs like these, we seek to increase public awareness, create generational shifts, and develop a cadre of informed professionals with the tools, knowledge, and networks to address some of the most challenging health problems we face.
