The organization invests in innovative, educational programs in strategic opportunity areas including youth development, consumer awareness, continuing education, and leadership development resulting in a vibrant and prosperous Pennsylvania Dairy industry. Discover Dairy: an engaging, interactive, multi-level lesson series that reached 1.2 million students and 40,000 educators to show students how Dairy farms contribute to our communitiessee additional information on schedule odairy leaders of tomorrow: an online curriculum designed to prepare students to work in the Dairy industry that reached 29,573 students and 695 educators to offer students industry certification in Dairy herd and business management.scholarships: several different scholarship opportunities are made available through the Foundation, including a student leader scholarship, a Dairy leaders of tomorrow scholarship, a dlt teacher scholarship, and a young professional scholarship, all designed to support and prepare the next generation to work in Pennsylvania's Dairy industry. In 2022-23, the Foundation awarded scholarships to 12 students and 2 teachers. In addition, 29 young professionals and 1 advisor attended the Dairy summit through the young professionals scholarship.internships: a program that pairs college students interested in Dairy careers with Dairy farm operations to complete a 10 to12 week internship. Four students participated in this program in 2022, and five, including an extern, participated in 2023.calving corner: an educational exhibit at the Pennsylvania farm show that is designed to increase understanding among farm show attendees of how Dairy farm families care for their animals and their farms. The calving corner was held in conjunction with the 2023 Pennsylvania farm show and reached more than 100,000 people.
