Center for Economic Democracy is a social movement building organization in the US. Its mission is to grow capacity in communities to transform American capitalism into a more just, sustainable, and democratic economy. In 2021, ced worked in coalition with community partners to amend Boston's city charter, increasing budget discretion for city councilors and introducing participatory budgeting for the city of Boston. Additionally, it provided over 20 hours of educational training to students.

Center for Economic Democracy expanded the reach of its educational programming by releasing and promoting free, open source curriculum on economics, politics and history, downloaded by thousands of users across the us. Ced also advocated for and saw the appointment of members to governance bodies of newly created office of participatory budgeting in boston, and the Center for employee ownership in Massachusetts. Ced also managed the solidarity economy initiative fund, which distributed $600k to community organizations and solidarity economy projects through a participatory grant-making process.
