Ciel's unique holistic Learning model combines extensiveinterdisciplinary pre-travel scholarly education with on-the-ground Experiential Learning in conflict-affected regions guided by internationally recognized scholars and local experts. By engaging participants directly in cross-cultural exchange, daily critical reflection, and the lived experience of holding difficult conversation across divides, participants are empowered with the knowledge and skills needed. In 2023, ciel conducted trips for four student delegations and four community groups to northern ireland, the middle east, mexico, and vietnam and cambodia.
