See schedule o. "us public assembly on high risk ai" - cndp successfully completed the us public assembly on high risk artificial intelligence ("ai assembly") in 2023. The ai assembly was the first nationwide deliberative engagement event (public assembly) on artificial intelligence in the united states. The ai assembly convened a diverse group of 40 participants from across the us to make recommendations regarding risk and the use of ai across multiple domains. Cndp designed and implemented the ai assembly, managed the oversight panel, and led project outreach activities. "exploring public participation in ai governance" - cndp began work on the "exploring public participation in ai governance" research project in q4 of 2023. This research will explore how public participation and deliberative engagement might play a role in the development, deployment, and governance of ai in the future. "outreach to federal officals and policymakers" - cndp conducted outreach, education, and awareness building activities to build awareness of our work and deliberative engagement among over one dozen federal agencies, nearly 100 congressional offices, and numerous congressional committees and caucuses.
