Program areas at Center for Popular Research Education and Policy

In 2022, we collaborated with a local CDFI, the Wind River Development Fund (WRDF) with funds from the Native American Ag Fund to award small grants to support Native food producers. We received funds as a subaward from WRDF to cover some staff time and fringe, some overhead and travel costs, and $70,000 in funds to re-grant to 20 Native food producers ($5,000 each to 10 ranchers and $2,000 each to 10 growers). "Re-grant" funds were used to make purchases of equipment and supplies to support their Ag operation directly from vendors. Along with direct financial support, we aided with technical assistance, mentorship, and educational opportunities.
