1. Center Place successfully created two county-funded art therapy programs for children in our community who are on the autism spectrum and have down syndrome. These two art therapy programs are free for all who attend and all the art supplies are included.
Center Place has successfully brought back our gift shop, pat's corner, but has made it into a local artisans store. The items in the store are created by local artists and makers in the brandon community. This store has given a brick and mortar location to artists and makers who cannot afford their own storefront.
Center Place formed a partnership with mosaic, incorporated this year, which led to them funding a veterans' art therapy program. This program is helping veterans deal with with ptsd and other issues they may have. This program is completely free for all veterans and first responders. All the art supplies are included with this program.
