Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy, also known as CAUSE, has a mission to build grassroots power and achieve social, economic, and environmental justice for the people of the Central Coast Region. Since its formation in 2001, CAUSE has engaged and developed thousands of diverse leaders to create positive changes that benefit low-income and immigrant communities of color. The organization remains committed to this work in 2020 and focuses on policy research, leadership development, organizing, and advocacy. CAUSE is located in Ventura, CA.

Our work continued in 2020, in the following key areas: worker justice, environmental justice, immigrant rights, voting rights and fair representation, investing in youth of color, and renters rights and affordable housing.
