Description
The Central Florida Realty Investors Association is a real estate organization that provides educational opportunities for investors. CFRI has received national approval to offer program credits towards the National REIA Professional Housing Provider Certification Program for all seminars. On average, there are four seminars held per year. The CFRI general meeting is held on the first Wednesday of each month and is attended by approximately 250 to 350 members and guests. The meeting starts with networking, followed by an informal discussion led by the CFRI President and other volunteers.

Program areas at Central Florida Realty Investors Association

Cfri general meeting held on the first wednesday of each month and led by the cfri president and other volunteers. Typically, approximately 250 to 350 members and guests attend this meeting. The meeting starts off with networking. This is an informal discussion among members to discuss market trends, housing conditions, economics, etc. Several members explain how they achieved their deals of the month. Members make announcements about services they offer or properties they have for sale. The main speaker comes on and may be of local or national recognition. The main speaker will provide members and guests with the latest information and research related to the real estate investment and housing industry. Examples of topics include real estate market trends, legal issues encompassing the real estate market place, tax information pertaining to real estate issues, etc.
Cfri focus groups - there were 9 different focus groups in 2023. These volunteer-led small groups meet one to four times a month for 2-3 hours for the purpose of obtaining more education on a particular aspect of real estate investing. They meet in a variety of locations including the cfri educational center, and various public spaces. Groups include: tax-deferred real estate investments, experienced Investors, private money, money 101, quick turn real estate, latin beat, marketing techniques for Investors, real estate investment techniques, commercial & land development, business & tax strategies, quick start, women Investors and real estate investing 101.
County subgroup meetings - five counties subgroups (seminole, orange, brevard, lake and volusia) have been established in the greater orlando area that meet once a month to provide additional education in a more intimate setting where regional topics can also be addressed, such as neighborhood revitalizations, local codes and ordinances, market trends, housing needs, etc. Each group meets for 3 hours, and follows a similar agenda as the general meeting. Cfri volunteers lead these groups.
Seminars - cfri received the approval of the national real estate Investors Association to offer program credits on all seminars towards national reia professional housing provider certification program. In 2023, there were approximately 4 seminars held per month for a total of approximatley 48 seminars during the year. Full day seminars were held on saturday or sunday and 3 hour seminars were held on week-nights. Seminars were opened by an authorized spokesperson that is usually an officer or employee of the organization. The main speaker(s) then expand on topics introduced at the general meeting or other real estate investment topics including: foreclosures, short sales, financing, avoiding mortgage fraud, land trusts, asset protection, tax education, home inspections, contracts, landlording, rehabbing, wholesaling, finding properties, property management, marketing and negotiations, etc. Seminars are held at the cfri educational center in casselberry, florida.junkers to jewels workshop & bus trip - 2-1/2 day event held three times a year in spring, summer, and fall. This event is conducted by volunteers to help Investors learn basic concepts of real estate investing including: contracts, finding properties, evaluating properties, estimating rehab costs, finding buyers, marketing techniques. This event educates participants on how to help revitalize housing stock in their communities.
