Program areas at The Bashor Homeless Men's Night Shelter
With no paid staff we provide a warm, welcome and generous hospitality, offering safe and comfortable overnight Shelter november-march. Nightly hot sit-down dinners and carryout breakfast/lunch bags, bathrooms and showers, weekly health clinic, weekly foot clinic, recreation (tv and games), legal assistance through on-site work by The Georgia law center for The Homeless, income tax filing assistance, special gifts during The holidays and a myriad other kindnesses and miracles due to one on one connections betweeen individual volunteers and guests. Our volunteers again a great deal through contact with our guests. The Shelter is in central presbyterian church (60-65 guests/night) and next door at The catholic shrine of The immaculate conception church (30-35 guests/night) yoga club and walking running club, initiated in 2008-2009, will continue again this year. Basketball will continue this year.
