Central Valley Higher Education Consortium leads the way in promoting programs, policies, and performance aimed at increasing higher education attainment by the people in Central Valley. Over 135 secondary and postsecondary educators convened in March 2022 to address challenges and barriers to dual enrollment success. The consortium also engages in higher education policy and legislative initiatives.

Program areas at Central Valley Higher Education Consortium

1. In 2023 the dual enrollment math bridge project was announced. This project involves six cvhec community college members providing college-level math classes at 21 rural high schools that will improve and support college readiness for underprepared students.this program will "positively impact" approximately 630 students.2. In may 2023, 95 representatives of the fisrt cohort of 13 Valley high schools in the new Central Valley math bridge program convened with nine community college members to kick-off the program.3. Higher Education policy and legislative summit held in october 2023. The summit theme was "student success through equity and inclusion-thriving in the Central Valley and included a student experiences panel and a federal Education legislative update by u.s. Congressman jim costa. Also, the Central Valley transfer pathways demonstration project was announced.
