Description
Central Works develops and produces new plays for the theater, building a community where our commitment to new plays and civic engagement flourish together. Our mission includes a dedication to social justice and exploring pressing political issues. In March 2022, we reopened our theater doors, producing three world-premiere plays developed in the Central Works Writers Workshop over the previous year. Additionally, we continued producing our online podcast program, creating three new episodes of it.

Program areas at Central Works

Central Works reopened our theater doors in March, 2022, producing 3 world-premiere plays which had been developed in the Central Works Writers Workshop over the previous year. We continued producing our online podcast program, creating 3 new episodes of the "Central Works Script Club" along with 40 episodes of "The Yay" - a weekly podcast which interviews members weekly podcast which interviews members We also continued Zoom versions of the Central Works Writers Workshop (two 12-week commissioning programs offered to 8 invited writers). 2 plays developed in the Writers Workshop were selected for production for our 2023 season.
