Program areas at Centro Criollo de Ciencias y Technologia
Science encounters: this program aims for students to have an encounter with science through a series of exciting and interactive workshops at c3tec. Students will learn about hydraulics: students will learn how water ca be an energy source using scale models; aerofinamic: students will lea to construct two types of planes using origami art and compare the flight, distance, and volocity, enginnering: students will learn about basic robotics and construct a car that moves using circuits and a cellphone application. All workshops have a visual presentation that shows the history and background of each theme.
Special programs for girls-cofrpillars club was created as a part of an initiative to empowered young girls in the area of coding. The program emphasizes in steam, programmins, design and coding. It runs from april 2017 to february 2018 girls from 9-16 years old studied and learn about all mentioned above to create a prototype of a product to be presented in public. They were guided by professionals mentos in every area,steam, programming, art and entrepreneurship. The program also looks for an enhancement of self esteem, empowerment and to creat a talent bank directed to future professionals women in different science areas.
Theather/ cinema our cinema program includes showing movies that are normaly followed by interactive science activities for the community. The movies shown were huble 3d, inder the sea, titans of the ice age, wonders of the artic, the activities for these science nights were possible with the collaboration of different organization such as universities, professional associations, community groups an volunteers. The first weekend of each month we dedicate the showings of science movies and documentaries in an activity for the whole family named science night. Our cinema also includes movie showing on saturdays at 7:00 p, and on sundays at 6:00pm of different time art movies, international cinema
