A six month free training program and 4 part-time fellowship opportunities spanning an additional six months to provide opportunities for Hispanic and Latino community members to enter the behavioral health workforce in the areas of prevention and recovery
This program provides training and work opportunity to hispanic and latino community members looking to increase their capacity to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate behavioral health services to the greater new bedford community. This was the first year of this program which included community needs assessment capacity building community outreach and strategic planning activities. This is a five year initiative.
This income was from a fundraiser to be used for leadership development programming for hispanic youth and adults living in new bedford ma.
