Program areas at Century City BID Association
Clean, safe and beautiful projectthe ccbid engages in activities that make each individual assessed parcel cleaner and safer by engaging in programs that deter crime and clean the public rights-of-way; and improve and landscape the physical appearance of the medians, landscaped corridors, fountains and pedestrian walkways. This year we focused on two big projects: the Century City sign installation on aos and pico and new art installation along aos. We also upgraded all the irrigation on santa monica from aos to Century park west moving to a completely drip system.
Bike patrolthe ccbid provides a bike ambassador for security and community service. The bike ambassador rides a bike during daylight hours and transitions to a car during the evening/night hours. Our security hours are 7 am until 11 pm 5 days a week monday friday and 3 pm until 11 pm on saturdays. We also patrol on sundays as required and use off-duty officers on an as-needed basis.
Landscape maintenancethe ccbid provides landscape maintenance for the 13 medians along aos between pico blvd and the over half a dozen medians on santa monica blvd. The landscape vendors maintain the lawns, plant material and irrigation five days a week on an as needed basis. We continue to replace plants as needed in order to maintain the quality of the landscape design. We have a landscaping team and an irrigation tech on site 5 days a week.
