Career exploration experience (micro-internships): this initiative allows high school, community college, and university students to gain on-the-job experience with Orange County companies, ultimately enabling them to secure higher-paying jobs in oc.program accomplishments - 180% growth in claoc's cee internships during the past 2 years, with 14 host businesses in 2023. 400 high school and university students completed cees since 2022, earning $160,000 in student stipends.
Ai talent lab: with a clear focus on racial and gender diversity, we bring together civic and business leaders, ai-focused entrepreneurs, and education organizations to cultivate and recruit the diverse talent needed now and in the future to support a robust ai-infused economy in oc.program accomplishments: 300 students and stakeholders completed new ai learning experiences and attended claoc ai events.
National talent collaborative: the national talent collaborative is a unique consortium of regional leaders of business-engaged organizations with a shared commitment to talent and workforce development across the united states. These regional leaders meet regularly to share best practices and to explore further collaboration, such as sharing common data platforms, speaking with a collective voice, and working together to drive broad-scale, systemic change across the country.
Oc fellows: designed to develop and retain emerging business leaders in Orange County, the two-year Leadership development program supports recent university graduates employed in an oc company. The oc fellows program provides skill-building and networking opportunities to strengthen connections to oc leaders, companies, and job opportunities.program accomplishments - 90+% of 120 current and past oc fellows alumni are still employed in oc. 4th and largest cohort of oc fellows launched.
