Certell at schoolcertell works with leading scholars to create world-class digital, multimedia social studies curricula in economics and personal finance, american government, american history and world history. Certell markets and distributes these materials at no cost to teachers and students for use in their classrooms, helping them enhance the learning of their students.certell's mission is to create informed and engaged citizens by supporting the innovative teachers who are disrupting our traditional civic education system. We do this through poptential, a sensible, media-rich curriculum that equips teachers to connect with and motivate digitally savvy students. The result is self-governing students who make up their own minds about complex issues.certell's poptential curriculum is a free family of social studies courses that infuses lessons with pop culture-rich media to engage digital native learners. This sensible and entertaining curriculum animates the classroom and enables teachers to engage with and motivate today's connected students. Our curriculum efforts are in the areas of economics, american history, world history and american government.in fy 2022-23 poptential added 8,500 new teachers to its network. Since its founding, it has worked with more than 40,000 teachers in traditional public and charter schools, catholic and non-catholic private schools, and homeschool families. In 2022-23, teachers and students engaged with our curriculum more than 1.9 million times.

Certell around the world:the organization seeks to accelerate the leveling of the educational playing field by developing content designed to promote prosperity and good citizenship globally. In addition, the organization is developing technical solutions to the problem of how to distribute such high-bandwidth content in low-bandwidth places. Since this distribution problem affects not only economic and citizenship education, the organization is working with educators working in other areas such as health education and training.

Sensible school in 2021-22 Certell created a related entity, sensible school, Inc. sensible school purchased huntington junior college in march 2022 and has been operating it since then. Certell's programs in adult and workplace and prison education will transition to sensible school and huntington junior college over the next several years.sensible school's programs include prison education (bending bars: civic education in prison), adult personal finance (a pilot program), and huntington junior college (hjc). Bending bars is serving inmates in several facilities in Florida and one in Texas. Hjc serves students in west Virginia, southeaster Ohio, and eastern Kentucky. Subsequent to acquiring the college, hjc has streamlined its catalog, reduced the time to graduate, and frozen tuition. It's enrollment has increased significantly, and it is developing new programs to fulfill its mission by serving a broader community in new ways.
