Program areas at Chaddock Attachment and Trauma Services
The developmental Trauma and Attachment program is a residential treatment program that provides Services 24/7 to male and female youth ages 6 to 17 in a cottage environment. This program serves children with severe Attachment difficulties by helping them gain the capacity to form reciprocal relationships. Children placed in the program have intact adoptive or foster families who are involved in treatment during visits as well as through other means of communication. The program has served youth from 35 states, the district of columbia, and one tribal nation since it is one of a few serving this specialty in the country. We served 250 children and family members. Of the clients discharged during the year, 85% were discharged successfully to a less restrictive environment. One year post discharge 96% are attending school or have graduated and 86% were able to remain in the home.
Chaddock serves the community as a private service foster care agency. In fy23 Chaddock served 349 youth with the average of 7 years old . Of the children served during fy23, 120 of these youth achieved permanency with 46 returning home and 55 having their adoptions finalized.
Caregiver Connections supports child care providers throughout the state Of Illinois in recognizing, understanding, and responding to the social emotional needs of the children, birth through age five, in their care. With 16 service delivery areas throughout the state, Master's level Mental Health Consultants provide training and support for childcare providers, to build their capacity for nurturing positive relationships, healthy social-emotional development and resiliency for all young children. In FY23 a formal mentoring program was successfully implemented. In FY23 568 training events were held with 7,170 participants and 567 Childcare Providers were served.
Other program Services include other levels of residential treatment; group home, transitional living and independent living; specialized foster care; outpatient counseling; early childhood education; and several other small community Services.
