Program areas at Chaldean Federation of America
Adopt-a-refugee family program. The turmoil in iraq & surrounding areas has taken a toll on more than 50,000 families, which are comprised of mostly christians, including assyrians, chaldeans, syriacs, armenians, and other ancient and historic cultures dating back thousands of years. These refugees are being singled out, persecuted, kidnapped, and even murdered because of their religious beliefs. They have no where to call home, and are forbidden to work. The adopt-a-refugee family program has been successfully working with the jesuits to aid these refugees. 100% of donations go directly to a family in dire need of help and hope. To date, over $9 million dollars have been sent and more than 100,000 refugees have been helped.
