Program areas at Chamber Music in Napa Valley
In our 42nd season, Chamber Music in Napa Valley presented ten concerts from October 2022 to April 2023. We had a successful post-pandemic recovery and were back to full attendance with over 400 season tickets sold and almost 200 donors contributing over $200,000 to the general budget. Four new works by contemporary composers were commissioned for future debut performances in upcoming seasons.
The organization gave a grant of $25,000 to the San Francisco Conservatory of Music to enable them to give scholarships.
Tom Abbey and the music in the schools program presented three different world class string quartets for a total of six days of outreach concerts in local schools.
