Promoted new and existing business in the area through various events, such as an annual banquet, golf outings, and luncheons with the mayor and governor. Provided networking opportunities for members through business exchanges and various other member activities.
Educated members on issues affecting their business and the community. Represented membership and advocate issues of importance to the Regional business community at various levels of government by serving as the voice of the Regional business community. Engaged its membership through policy committees, a political action committee and special events with elected representatives.
Hosted the small business development center, which has programs and services to assist individuals and companies reach their goals by offering: (1) free one-on-one business counseling in business plan development, marketing, financial planning and other business topics; (2) confidential consultation for existing business owners and new entrepreneurs; (3) practical seminars and workshops on a variety of business topics; and (4) a wide selection of reference materials.
Located in the heart of downtown Evansville, innovation pointe is carefully curated to offer affordable workspaces, facilitate beneficial collisions and provide access to small business resources for entrepreneurs to start and thrive in the Evansville region.
