Project Build Summer ExtremeProject Build Summer Extreme was created to allow the boys to spend their summers in a structured environment. Each day starts with prayer services, followed by two hours of Jewish learning. Groups of approximately five boys are then dispatched, together with a foreman, to different construction sites. Sample jobs include building decks, demolition work, painting and a variety of other building tasks. Each night, members of the community host the group for a barbeque followed by swimming or other recreational activities. In Summer 2013, there were 40 young men that participated in the program. This schedule allows for very little time for the young men to fall back into destructive behavior, attend parties or seek out old friends and habits.
JTAP ProgramThe program of study instills discipline, demonstrates meaning and provides an ideal method to reconcile and address the conflicted feelings of many of these young men. In virtually every instance of success, there is a relationship centered around Jewish learning.
Lev Shlomo High SchoolLev Shlomo has combined a program of Judaic studies and vocational training in construction with counseling, therapy, and support to ensure that our boys get the help they need and deserve. Our morning learning program helps our students to maintain their knowledge of Hebrew and their connection to the community, as well as providing them with spiritual tools to help them become happier and better adjusted adults
