Program areas at Channels of Love Ministries
Pschosocial support:our purpose is to provide psychosocial support to those who are hiv positive. Both individual and group support was provided in the form of support group, individual counseling, bible study and social activities. 902 units were provided to hiv+ clients and their families.
Emergency financial assistance:emergency financial assistance was provided in the form of utility payments to help prevent homelessness and ensure good health for 17 families.
Case management:served 76 hiv+ clients with 1,970 units of case management services to aid clients in accessing social and health services to optimize physical, mental and spiritual health.
Medical transport assistance:transportation assistance is provided for doctor appointments, have labs drawn, and to access social services to assist clients in medical compliance. 409 transportation services were provided in the form of agency van, bus passes, and gas cards for 36 clients.
Food bank vouchers and meal program:691 services provided to 39 families to ensure proper nutrition to optimize good health outcomes. Services include: meals, vouchers to the chattanooga area food bank, providing fresh fruits and vegetables, and groceries from our food pantry.
