Cherryland Humane Society strives to provide a safe harbor for animals and advance their well-being by finding them responsible, loving, and permanent homes. As the only animal shelter in Grand Traverse County, we provide care for over 650 animals in need. We foster greater awareness and focus upon the role of various community institutions to support the well-being of people and animals. Profits from our thrift store help fund our mission.

As the only animal shelter in grand traverse county, Cherryland Humane Society provides care for the lost, unwanted and neglected animals of our community. We support the well being of people and animals by fostering greater awareness and focus upon the role of various community institutions in creating solutions to the root causes of companion animal homelessness, neglect, cruelty and violence.
