Chicago Dancemakers Forum (cdf) provides multi-layered support for choreographers by making cash grants, presenting public workshops and events, and offering professional development and residency opportunities for choreographers. For more than 20 years, cdf has responded to the evolving needs of Chicago's Dancemakers, including those caused by systemic inequities, with the resources, peer connections, artistic dialogue, and opportunities for visibility they need for their creative endeavors to thrive. Unlike single dance entities, cdf advances a broad range of dance practices representing the rich diversity of Chicago communities. It contributes to a more equitable dance landscape, where Dancemakers from all of Chicago have increased opportunities for artistic and commercial success.
