Program areas at Chicago District Golf Association Foundation

The midwest Golf house along with the bob berry sunshine course is a program that helps utilize the game of Golf through education, mental interaction, and physical activities for veterans and people with special needs. The course also acts as a living turfgrass research facility that the cdga turfgrass staff routinely conduct experiments on to better help Golf course operators throughout the country.
The cdga Foundation scholarship, formerly under the administration of the Chicago area Golf swing club, is awarded to disabled veterans or dependents of deceased or disabled veterans living or hospitalized in the Chicago District. Awards come in varying amounts and are given on the basis of financial need, scholastic achievement, community service and personal goals.
The sunshine through Golf camp program brings benefits and joy to people with special needs by hosting clinics at Golf courses around the Chicago District. A lot of the experiences are in-kind and there are more than 90 clinics for over 1,000 individuals with special needs. Our veterans Golf program partnering with revelation Golf provides therapeutic Golf clinics to active duty and veterans of the military.
