Our mission is to be the bridge between the most vulnerable in our community and volunteers who make a difference. We serve our community through three volunteer driven programs: 1) Placer casa, which provides court appointed special Advocates (casas) to youth in foster care and youth in the juvenile delinquency/probation system, 2) family mentors, which assigns mentors to parents who are striving to rebuild their families and reunify with their children who are in the Child welfare system, and 3) prosper Placer, which utilizes community volunteers to help families move out of poverty - the next step after family mentors.see schedule o for 2022-2023 accomplishmentsin 2022-23 we provided casa volunteers and adult mentors to 306 foster children, 72 juvenile justice and at risk youth. We also provided family mentors to 85 struggling parents and prosper Placer "allies" to 25 families.
