Program areas at Child and Family Institute
Child protective services - this program provides mental health outpatient services to children and youth referred by Child protective services (cps) through the sacramento county Child and Family access team. These children and their families are medi-cal eligible which qualifies them for funding from the early periodic screening, diagnosis and treatment (epsdt) program. Child & Family Institute's services include providing individual, group and Family therapy, and case management services as needed for the children and their collateral Family members. Cfi ceased programmatic activities effective 4/1/17.
Victim witness - funding is available from the California victim compensation fund for victims of Child abuse. Child & Family Institute provides mental health treatment services to children and their families who have made a crime report or a Child abuse report and have been approved by the state board of control. Referrals come from a variety of sources, including self-referrals, social workers, educators, medical personnel and law enforcement. Child and Family Institute's outpatient services include providing individual, group and Family therapy, and case management services as needed for the children and their collateral Family members. Cfi ceased programmatic activities effective 4/1/17.
