Program areas at Child Protect of Mercer County
During FY23, Child Protects CAC and FSC programs served 357 new clients through forensic interviews, on-site therapy, on-site forensic medical examinations, supervised family visitation services and support groups. In regards to criminal child abuse cases that Child Protect supported investigators on, there were 29 cases involving charges, 25 indictments, and 25 convictions.
During this fiscal year, on-site therapy services for protective and non-custodial caregivers at Child Protects FSC location was launched. Community support programming duirng the year included a hygiene campaign at Mercer County Schools, Community Baby Shower and Back-to-School Bash as well as our annual Thanksgiving in a Box and Christmas gifts for Child Protect clients project.
