Children in Need of Hugs

Our program has served fewer young mothers this year. There were changes in our home due to our landlord sold the home in which we provided services in. This caused the mothers to go elsewhere until the organization was settled with appropriate and safe housing for them. We were able to located a smaller home in the same city which was an accomplished due to not many landlords are interested in renting to non-profits serving homeless teenage mothers and their children. After settling into our new home new clients arrived and were appreciative of the services we provided, since our organization is the only program in Solano County and nearby surrounding areas which serves young mother under the age of 18. Two of the young mothers located permanent housing shortly after their stay in our program. Another young mother returned to school and obtained her high school diploma. We have no new funding sources and next year September 30, 2017 our Government funding will be coming to an end. We are hopeful that we may obtain refunding from the Government or collaborate with other nonprofits or apply for funding elsewhere.
