Program areas at Children's Future International
Our social work team ensures safety and the well-being of the most at-risk children in the community, provides training to government officials to support their response to those cases, and works with residential care facilities to keep kids with their families. The following are a few highlights: - 244 children helped with social work services - 25 families provided with livelihood support, such as chicken raising, moto repair, and laundry service - 64 families received food support and 33 families provided with housing/toilet support in order to be able to repair, build or rent a house - 13 children and 3 young adults reintegrated into family based care - 23 children prevented from entering residential care - 14 families reached with positive parenting, safe migration, and prevention of violence workshops - 127 children received health care support at cfi or at a hospital - 220 local goverment authorities trained on the government framework for kinship care and foster care, and on child protection pathways
Cfi's learning center and education advocacy team work together to keep kids in school and make sure they have the tools to succeed. The following are some highlights of their achievements: - supported 42 students with supplemental math and khmer, 57 students with english, and 37 students with computer classes - provided 15,620 meals to children in our learning center - 277 students supported to stay in public school (177 primary school, 76 secondary school, 22 high school) - 26 youth participated in next generation initiative (life skills and employement skills) - 13 youth supported to pursue vocational training - 8 youth supported to pursue a university degree - provided 896 students in 18 public schools with leadership skills through our soccer and lego programs
