Program areas at Children's Place
Behavioral rehabilitation services (therapeutic child care)- this service is a series of individually planned interventions to change a child's maladaptive behaviors that are the result of abuse, neglect, improper parenting or problematic parenting. This service includes mental health counseling for children, parent training, family support, and classroom, social peer group, and community based interventions.
Child care food program - this program allows children to receive breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack daily at no additional cost to the family. Revenue is based on individual families poverty level.
Transportation services - transportation for young children to our behavioral rehabilitation services.
Strengthening families program - an evidence based family skills training program found to significantly improve parenting skills and family relationships, reduce problem behaviors, delinquency, and alcohol and drug abuse in children, and to improve social competenciesand school performance. Four to fourteen week programs are offered in aiken and barnwell counties annually.
