As there are learning curves in favor of each one, international cooperation between Chile and California is essential. The developed Energy Alliance sought to compare the strategies of both places to achieve carbon neutrality, with the participation of the main actors in the world of science, markets, technologies, public policies, and investments. In April of 2023 the Chilean Minister of Energy, Diego Pardow, visited California. A new phase of the energy tranistion aimed at decarbonizing electricity was unveiled. During the visit Minister Pardow held meetings with key California entities. California Energy Commission, The Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and WATT Coalition participated in these meetings.
