Program areas at Chinese Family Camp
For over 60 years, taxpayer has sponsored a week-long Chinese Family Camp celebratinhg Chinese american education, heritage, culture and values. Taxpayer paid a deposit, but because of covid, Camp was held via zoom. See www.chinesefamilycamp.org for more information.
Chinese Family Camp is currently a section 501(c)(3) organization and private foundation. We received a letter dated 8/29/2022 agreeing that, based on our proposed activities and support, we can terminate our private foundation status and will be treated as a public charity during the 60-month advance ruling period ending 12/31/26.
Fees are charges to attend Chinese Family Camp, which is the primary means by which taxpayer accomplishes its cultural and educational purposes. In 2020, taxpayer collected some deposits, but cancelled in-person Family Camp because of covid. Taxpayer held Family Camp via zoom, for which taxpayer incrred expenses but did not charge any fees.
