Emergency disaster response - respond to ongoing conflicts and natural disasters globally that trigger displacement crises. In response to the invasion of ukraine, the organization focused on developing a network of local responders delivering humanitarian relief and essential services to conflict-affected people across ukraine and the refugee-receiving countries. Both in and outside of ukraine this involved humanitarian assistance covering gaps in a range of sectors including evacuations, emergency medical care, support for children with disabilities, food aid, non-food items and legal assistance. Other disaster response work focused on needs of marginalized communities of refugees and internally displaced people. In response to earthquakes in the middle east, nurtured a solid ground-network of partner organizations at the forefront of the humanitarian response.
US-Mexico border: The Organization supports humanitarian work on either side of the border with the aim of closing and preventing future gaps in services provided for the local communities at the border, and the recently arrived individuals and families on either side. The work is informed by three pillars:1) emergency response; 2) daily survival; and 3) securing futures.
International Response in Protracted Crises - The organization works fast, flexibly and creatively to identify and meet the needs of refugees and displaced people along European and Middle Eastern Migration routes. Through partnerships with frontline services supporting people in need and direct financial resourcing of these community-led organizations, Choose Love Inc's work helps save and rebuild lives by providing both emergency and sustainable long-term solutions.
