Program areas at Christian Alliance for Humanitarian Aid
Relieve hunger and poverty - cah has regular food distributions to disadvantaged areas in the greater houston area. During these distributions approximately 20 families (100 people) are helped each month. Monthly distributions through downtown homeless relief help approximately 80 people per month. Each month, distributions are made to 2 different food pantries, assisting another 200 people monthly. In this fiscal year, cah also participated in food distribution for port houston outreach, participated in rice and bean food packing at friendswood umc vacation bible school, and first methodist houston's mission fair.
Containers are converted into mobile medical clinics using volunteer labor and donated medical supplies and equipment. These mobile medical clinics can then be shipped to disaster areas. In this fiscal year, two mobile medical clinics have been completed and are ready for shipment where the need is greatest; a third is nearing completion.
