Program areas at Christian Mission Aid
Missions in East Africa: Christian Outreach ProgramThis program assisted and empowered community and church leaders in the least reached and underdeveloped areas of Kenya and Uganda and South Sudan to become self-sufficient, build the capacity of the communities, trained and equipped to strengthen their churches and reach their own people with the Gospel message.The Organization trained and equipped 283 pastors, including 17 deaf pastors. We provided 30 bicycles and 14 motorcycles to pastors and distributed over 618 vernacular Bibles and 72 audio Bibles. The Organization made several monitoring and supervision visits in the remote areas of Uganda and Kenya to supervise Pastoral services and assisted with the ministries of trained local pastors.
Aid and Relief Ministries:Kenya, provided 5,000 needy families in Kenya with food relief during drought, South Sudan; treated 26,636 Children under 5 years for malnutrition, 21,208 pregnant and lactating women treated for malnutrition, provided 177,695 patients with health care services, vaccinated 18,538 children, delivered 1,339 healthy babies in health care facilities.
Children and Youth Ministries:The Organization is supporting 78 girls with safe shelter and giving them an education after rescuing them from FGM and forced marriages. CMA provided education for less fortunate children and sponsored 180 primary students. 100 vulnerable girls were provided with health education, sanitary pads and kits. 100 boys were mentored, and 310 teachers trained on Bible teaching methods and 41,000 books distributed to students.
Community Development: Facilitated adult literacy classes for 72 Maasai women and men, providing them with income generating projects, and food relief. Implemented an irrigation scheme to grow crops on 22 acres for the community of Orisai Uganda. 200 deaf community members were empowered with entrepreneurship skill to start their own businesses.
