Program areas at Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services
Emergency shelter: our 10-bedroom, 37-bed facility provides temporary shelter for those fleeing imminent danger. Families always get their own room while single adults of the same gender may share a room. All residents share kitchen, living room, and other common areas. Basic needs like food, hygiene items, and baby supplies areprovided. We welcome survivors of all genders and backgrounds. We do not have a length of stay limit.provide emergency housing, counseling, education and prevention Services to women, children and the community.
Our youth team works to end the cycle of Abuse before it begins in young lives. For children who have witnessed Domestic Abuse or teens who have had an unhealthy dating relationship, our youth advocates provide 1-on-1 support to help them process trauma, develop healthy coping skills, learn how to stay safe, and build selfconfidence.
Empowerment: this team meets with adults who are not staying in shelter. They may have another safe place to go or are not ready to leave their abuser. Advocates offer safety planning, emotional support, goal setting, connections to resources, plus legal advocacy.
