Direct Community Assistance - With the perpetual issues of economic disparities in the Martindale-Brightwood and 46218 zip code, residents have been less fortunate to fully support themselves and family. The Covid-19 simply exacerbated the ongoing generational issues that have plagued the black communities. CUI will support residents not just during the pandemic but help build the needed relationship thereafter to continue direct support and development to future engagement and future self-sustainability.
As the founding initiatives of Circle Up Indy, the peace festival looks to provide a relaxed atmosphere for community service providers, educators, employers and others to meet with the community. By providing a family-safe environment with entertainment and prizes, community members are encouraged to discover programs, information, neighbors and community leaders.
Rising Evolution - Housing Initiative to provide the Martindale-Brightwood community with affordable housing. Circle Up Indy will build both container and 3D printed homes to provide sustainable living for residents of color and the underserved.
