Program areas at Citizens Action Coalition
Cac organizers advocate the public concerns at the local, state, and federal level. We advocate for energy efficiency and renewable energy investments. Cac supports least cost utility service and legislation that aids low income families with weatherization efforts and assistance in paying their bills. Cac testified before a number of regulatory committees dealing with energy and human service issues. Cac has represented customers before Indiana regulators in rate cases and other procedures for over 40 years. Our door-to-door, phone canvass and program staff are utilized in major rate cases. We will act as a public intervenor in those rate cases and argue in the customer's interest. In 2021 cac was involved in numerous cases before the Indiana utility regulatory commission.
