Program areas at Citrs

Citrs and character counts! Have partnered and implemented a groundbreaking three-year comprehensive character development initiative in 21 buffalo public school district (bpsd) schools. The overarching goal of the initiative was to cultivate ethical, respectful, and caring school environments, in which students can thrive and succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Approximately 14,000 pre-k - 12 students in the city of buffalo are benefitting from this initiative, as well as teachers, parents, and the surrounding community. In 2021, the initiative moved to a maintenance stage which is supported locally by two mentors/coaches in buffalo, three members of the Citrs staff located in philadelphia, and three members of the cc! National staff.
Grow model is a 4 phase evidence-driven continuous improvement model first focused on staff, teacher and administration needs and support, strengthening the research-validated variables critical to being a highly successful school. The goal is to empower a healthier school climate by helping educators find greater satisfaction in their work and helping them to become a more cohesive and successful team.
Citrs provides character education through workshops and professional development and character development programs. Services are provided by one mentor/coach in niagara falls, and by contractors and three members of the Citrs staff located in philadelphia.
