Program areas at City Helps CDC

We have been able to offer programs and services that boost self-esteem, increase employability, promote education, and provide essential social services to many at-risk youth and economically disadvantaged families by providing tangible resources that have aided in the improvement of the family unit. Summer camps, neighborhood programs, and community drives that impact the importance of community, teamwork, leadership and entrepreneurship are at the heart of what we do in the communities we have been given the opportunity to serve and aid.
To further encourage gang resistance, City Helps has collaborated extensively with local leaders and youth in various communities to provide safe environments, such as awareness and training programs; mentor and teaching support youth and family counseling, creative arts, and interpersonal relationships; and community service recognition.
City Helps primary goal is to reduce crimes committed by young people by offering resources as well as the support needed to promote a favorable and constructive atmosphere that will provide personal food and personal care packages, lower youth related crime, offer addtional essential skills and work opportunities to youth and adolescents, crisis/intervention counseling, and schooling for youth ex-offenders.
