Grounds department: City Park's 1,300 acres make it one of the largest urban parks in the united states, and a popular place to fish on the bayou, picnic, experience safe outdoor play, or engage in athletic pursuits. City Park is committed to preserve, maintain, protect, and improve the natural beauty, natural habitats, biodiversity, and infrastructure of the Park, including the largest collection of live oaks in the world.
Carousel gardens amusement Park : carousel gardens amusement Park offers something for everyone. The 7 acres provides amusement rides open to the public 9 months out of the year. And hosts fundraising events for the Park, including celebration in the oaks. It is also home to one of the oldest carousels in the us, also known as the "flying horses".
