Program areas at Clark County Youth Coalition

The atod prevention programming provides a variety of substance abuse prevention programs in both the school and community setting, that teach students and families about the negative consequences of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. This education helps deter the first use of these substances by teaching coping and refusal skills, as well as negative consequences to program participants.
The substance abuse block grant funded substance abuse prevention in Clark County schools and in other Youth serving agencies. Programs/strategies were curriculum based support group, what's your side effect (positive norms campaign), footprints for life, and too good for drugs. We also worked toward implementing a social hosting policy in Clark County.
